Week 4 Power Ranking

Description

1

Mingles (+1) W5

Mingles look like the team to beat through the first 3 weeks. The team has won five in a row, led by their young stars Anthony, Dylan, Nick, and Dimitri. Add to the mix, newcomer PJ, and this team is starting to look like a juggernaut. They dispatched a competitive High Rollers team last week, giving them the slight edge over DBs in this week’s rankings.

2

Dad Bods (-1) W3

Dad Bods returned to the field this week after the Easter break with two wins against Sunday Sensations despite missing star player Oak. Making his debut for the team was Umar K, who should fit in nicely. His presence adds to an already deep lineup that can compete with any team on any day.

3

Hit Squad (-) W4

Hit Squad has quietly put together a good start to the season winning against some of the league’s tougher teams. The offseason additions have fit in nicely thus far as Alan and Majid have helped Hit Squad become one of the league’s top offenses.

4

Bats (+2) W2

The defending champs have been a bit up and down to start the season, but we’re slowly starting to see some of their regulars return to the lineup. We saw flashes of the timely hitting and great defense that fueled their playoff run against Only Fam, but for them to move up any further, we need to see that same ball against some of the top teams in the league.

5

NWO (-) W2

NWO stays pat in the 5-spot despite being the only undefeated team remaining in the league. Excited to see this team get back on the field this week after a two-week hiatus. Ayaz and team look like contenders with the additions they made during the offseason but only time will tell as NWO laces it up against tougher competition.

6

Curry Up! (+2) L2

Rishi and Thomas finally made their anticipated D3 debut this week but fell a bit short. The team looks promising, though, with the likes of Rishi, Reggie, and newcomer Anthony. A good showing this week can catapult this team into the top 3 with a sweep over Mingles.

7

High Rollers (-3) L2

Also making their debut this week was D3 staple High Roller, who looked a bit flat to start the year. The team is built on veteran leadership, but will need their top star, Ryan, Sijo, Vivek, K, and Manpreet, to be present and produce for them to compete with the top teams. Rumor has it, however is that more help may be on the way in the form of another veteran leader and former champion. Will it be enough to get this team back to its previous form? We shall see.

8

Sunday Sensations (-1) L2

Originally on bye in Week 3, SS jumped in on late notice to take on Dad Bods. The team seemed to be missing many of its regulars and didn’t look great in the windy conditions. Wil is a dangerous bat, but not nearly enough to carry the SS offense against the league’s best, so hopefully we see the likes of Vijay return soon.

9

Only Fams (-) L6

Another week and another sweep for OF. The additions of Omar and Adrian should help, but this team needs to improve even more moving forward. Rafi and Sharif’s group doesn’t shy away from hard work, and that’s exactly what it will take during the week to get this team to start clicking on Sundays.
